Corporate Cowards

Corporate cowards
Stealing from the working man
Begrudging labor
A few toys and retirement
In this promise land

Bailouts from them
Foreclosure for us
They want our social security
From the government we can't trust

Risky ventures
Predatory schemes
Pick pocketing
Our American Dream

The corruption is a stench
To the middle class nose
Might be time for the union man
To endure the club and the hose

Business ethics put on the shelf
Only masters prosper
When it is everyman for himself

Democracy was made
For the everyday man
A Corporation a person
Was never part of plan

Buying elections
An owned press
A simple detection
Retaining the poor
In prisons of detention

Corporate cowards
Running the show
Until that day
When the working man
Says NO
