The Poetry of Don Boucher
Artist!
See and feel your pain
But don't drown in the rain.
Don't let your broken heart
Sharpen the pen point so sharp
That you can't make a start
To each new day.
Make sure you play and
Don't hold back
But give your heart away.
I know it is a risk
But it it is better to seek the kiss
Than slice the wrist of loneliness
Draining the brain of energy and vitality
All that is reality
Because in the end
You have friends and family
Who love your heart
Who share in your art!
Words and images carry onward
Beyond our day
They have their say
Reinterpreted by future eyes and ears
With knowledge lost
Knowledge gained
In a time queer to us
But dear to us who reside
On the other side of time
Observing your paint and rhyme
Influenced
By we who sought answers
Never found
By then
It will be your go round
To speak
Thru the art you have found
