The Worm and the Wonder

This is the story of the Worm and the Wonder
Of life, of love of reality

This is the Story of the Germs and the Meezz
Who Loved themselves but hated reality

This is the story of the only True Maker
Whose perfect design is His reality

The Worm he was round
He was stout
He would dig through the ground
Come out with a shout

He was strong and full of pride
He was proudest of all of his two fine eyes

They saw things of value
He collected them in cups
Gold, silver and other stuff

The Wonder she was a beauty
A treasure to see
She danced and pranced
Flew with liberty

Her wings were green
Laced with sun-bright yellow
She would swoop in the valley
Hover in the meadows

One day the Worm broke through the ground with a great loud shout
The Wonder heard the noise, she took passing notice but
She did not know what to make of this intriguing strange call

She flew over head for a short while
Diving and dipping with grace and with style

Suddenly there was the Worm
So strong and stout
She loved him in a moment
She had no doubts

The Worm's keen eyes
Caught her movement in grace
He too was in love
You could see it on his face

The Worm his love
He wanted to prove
So he dug very quick
Through all his treasure
to find his very best pick

The Germs could see immediately
That the Worm had learned some of
The Maker's reality

Now the Germs knew the Worm
They were the very same you see
Except one loved and the other hated
The Maker's reality

The Germs the harassed
Give Wonder cut glass
She not worth gold or silver
Not even brass

Look to yourself
Let's have some fun
Dig for treasure
Avoid the sun
Fill your own cup
We'll come along
Give you good luck

The Wonder was a flutter
When she flew into the Meezz
They too could tell
She had been touched
By The Maker's reality

Oh no what to do
The Meezz had to think
Let's tell a lie about
The Maker's reality

Wonder, Wonder
Please come quick
Your not in love
The Worm is playing a trick
He will cut your wings
Tie you to the ground
No more meadows
Not one valley
To swoop or fly around

The Maker he was sad
He was sad indeed
He was sad for the Germs
He was sad for the Meezz
He was sad for their rejection
Of His reality

You see He delights in beauty
He knows what is best
His wisdom and love
Brought the Worm and Wonder
Through this very trying test

The sun was shining
The wind blew a gentle breeze
It was their wedding day
All were pleased
Believe it or not
Even the Germs and the Meezz

The Maker presided over the ceremony
It was sacred
It was blessed
It was Holy Matrimony

They exchanged their vows
As each gave up something
Of great value to self
They pledged to love each other
With The Maker's help

The Worm and the Wonder
Were made to be one flesh
This is the Maker's design
He knows what is best

With delight and cheer
Wonder locked her legs
In the place designed
On Worm's back

Her wings she enclosed
She slowly leaned forward and flat
Her head encompassed his head
His eyes became her eyes
His vision dimmed
They then become one body, and one limb

Her wings had indeed been cut
His eyes could no longer fill his own cup
He still has vision
She could still fly
But he could not see as far
She could not fly as high

Life was good for the Worm and the Wonder
They had some children
They are called Honkers
Worm liked seeing what Wonder could see
Wonder liked being with Worm and
Honkers, One, Two, Three

Time went by
Worm began to miss his own eyes
Wonder missed her ability to swoop and fly high
Life became boring and routine
There was too much to do
To be stuck together
The Germs and the Meezz said
"We know what you mean"

Germs kept calling the Worm to dig
The Meezz wanted to teach Wonder
The newest high flying aerial jig

The Worm hanging out with the Germs was
Acting like a jerk
Wonder's aerial flying had her
Acting like a flirt

They forgot the meadow and the valley
They forgot the looks and the shouts

They even forgot the delight and cheers of
Their first wedded years

They said to each other
"This was a mistake"
The Maker heard
His heart began to ache

The broke their vows
Promising to death do we part
The Maker watched
It broke his heart

Honkers, One, Two, Three
Went with Wonder
To the heights of the sky

What they needed was
The security of
The ground nearby

Worm went of deep digs
They weren't any fun
He missed his wife
His daughters
His son

Wonder never had time for those aerial flights
The Honkers missed Worm
They started having night frights

The Maker promised to give wisdom
Ask in faith
The Worm remembering the promise
Went to The Maker
In great haste

Maker he cried
I have been a jerk
I was selfish with digging
Caused Wonder much hurt

Worm learned that temptation
Come to us all at different times
That don't make it right

Temptation makes us fragile
When storms of life strike

Worm remembered life
Is like the rose with a thorn
Life is bittersweet
The fragrance and the pain
shared when not alone

In The Maker's reality
You are called to weather the storm together
Your life will go on
The storm won't last forever

The Worm realized
The Maker wanted to deal with attitude of his heart
The Worm learned what he must do to make a new start

Worm gathered Wonder and
Honkers, One, Two, Three
He confessed and asked forgiveness
Committed to live in
The Maker's reality

Wonder too came to Worm and
Honkers, One, Two, Three
She confessed and asked forgiveness
Committed to live in
The Maker's reality

The storms of life with affect a marriage for sure
You may be tempted to turn away and follow the lure

Commit to each other and do not stray
The Maker's reality will show you the way

The Worm and Wonder were made to be one flesh
This is The Maker's design
He knows what is best
