The city is drunk
And wild tonight
I want to be
Quiet and sober
A young man
Or do I call him
Drunken child
An inch from my face
Screamed
Like the crows
In the court's bell tower
Must have been something
In the fog of the midnight hour
A pretty German girl
Encouraged by my calm demeanor
Appeared surprised
I didn't knock
Crow screamer out
Gave her own hello
And inebriated shout
A small band played
On Pour Judgement's stage
The audience from college kid
To greyheaded sailor age
A soul singer
Having left the dock of the bay
Sang off key
Walking the street with a sway
He didn't care who was listening anyway
It was only four blocks
From works pillar
To my homes post
But my drunken company
Made interesting
Midnight host
Maybe I will crack a beer
As a toast
And wild tonight
I want to be
Quiet and sober
A young man
Or do I call him
Drunken child
An inch from my face
Screamed
Like the crows
In the court's bell tower
Must have been something
In the fog of the midnight hour
A pretty German girl
Encouraged by my calm demeanor
Appeared surprised
I didn't knock
Crow screamer out
Gave her own hello
And inebriated shout
